Now that we are officially in 2021, I can honestly say, this is the most excited I’ve ever been to start a new year! A new year is always a great time to reflect and reset. I’ve been taking inventory of my current routine to see how I can improve it.
One of my goals for 2021 is to focus on self-care. 2020 showed more than ever how important it is to have a strong self-care focused routine. In addition to my fitness routine and eating healthy, my resolution is to start a Self-Care Routine. To kick-off my 2021 Self Care practice, I’ve created a list of resolutions. I’m sharing my list below, in case you also want to step up your self-care this year too!
Three Easy Ways To Practice a Self-Care Routine in 2021:
- Take a weekly bath. My friend takes a bath every Friday and it’s such a great idea. Baths are a great way to relax and wind down after a busy week. I use Dr. Teal’s bubble bath from Walmart. Walmart’s options for online pickup and delivery makes shopping for my personal care items super convenient. I love that Walmart now even has free next-day and two-day shipping options, using their Walmart+ membership. Walmart+ also gives you free delivery from your local store on orders $35+ (restrictions apply)
- Upgrade my skincare routine. Skincare is very important to me, especially during the winter months. With so many new products, it can be hard to know where to start. The Walmart Wellness Hub is my main go-to for discovering new products. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with more cleansers and serums, like this Loreal one from Walmart. Since I’ve started this new routine, I’ve noticed that my breakouts have been nonexistent.
- Be deliberate about creating “me time” every day. Although I love having my time during my morning routine, it doesn’t always happen. Pressing emails and taking care of the dog often get in the way. By committing to do at least a 30-minute workout every day, I have something to look forward to. Fitness is also important to my self-care routine because it releases endorphins that improve my mood.
Although the changes I’ve made are super simple, they have had such a great impact on my overall well being. Best of all, I know I will be able to stick to my wellness resolutions this year with all the everyday low prices items I need available at Walmart.
While these are things that work for me, it’s important to experiment and see what works for you. If you enjoyed this post be sure to share and pin for easy reference! You can also comment below or DM me @TheFancyFrancy to let me know your thoughts!
You are right, I haven’t been able to give myself me time for the past two years. I was sick constantly, depressed, and had no energy. I have been getting more days off and me time. I feel like a different person. It’s hard for nurses to care for themselves, but I encourage it.
