Barcelona was one of the first trips I did not do a lot of planning beforehand. Usually, I make a detailed itinerary for every trip but this time I went with the flow. Instead of sharing what I planned here is my Barcelona Travel Diary of everything I did.
I flew on Delta and arrived in Barcelona early in the morning. I had no problem finding my way to the public transport area and going to my Airbnb. After dropping my stuff off I explored and walked over 2 miles to La Llimona for lunch. The lunch special was amazing and included three courses plus a whole bottle of wine I could not finish for under 15 euros.
After ducking into a hotel lobby for a little rest, I took a bus to Plaça d’Espanya. It’s essentially a circular roundabout with great views around it. Once here I took the elevator up for one Euro to see panoramic views of the city, called Arenas de Barcelona panoramic 360.
There were several restaurants at the top. The one that looked most appealing to me was the one called ” Quinto Quinta”. I did not end up eating there because I needed to leave and meet my travel buddies but I would recommend trying it.
Thursday evening we tried to go to the museum de Picasso however by the time we got there they said they were sold out for the day. We ended up walking around the gothic quarter and having dinner down there (the restaurant wasn’t great so not mentioning).
Total Spent for the Day (in Euros):
22.5 – 72 hour transit pass
13.15 – Meal at Le Llimona Cafe
22.80 – Dinner at a restaurant in the Gothic district
3.50 – Trimisu gelato at in the Gothic district
